Portugal: Löbo (Metal)

Location: Lisboa, Portugal (2007 - present);
Genres: Atmospheric Sludge; Doom Metal; Experimental;
Current line-up: Ludgero Urbano, Miguel Vilhena, Pedro Barceló and Ricardo Remédio;

 “The members of Löbo want to destroy the world with their music. Or maybe not. But they want to show the world there’s still some way to create something new and unique in music, by naturally accepting their influences and, at the same time, sublimating the numerous genres where these belong.

Dânaca from Dânaca (2008)

Their first EP – Älma – is another step in the construction of their identity, mixing metal, electro and ambient. They produce a 35-minute piece of work where every single note makes sense.
Älma is based on a musical territory where everything is related and where human awareness of death is being emphasized.
Carne e Sombra from Älma (2010)

Formed at the end of 2007 by João Vairinhos (Drums), Luís Pestana (Guitar) and Ricardo Remédio (Keyboards), the band played live for the first time in September 2008 and regularly ever since, with Renato Sousa (Bass) until the end of 2009.
These gigs led to a DIY tour that reached its peak when they opened for the American band Wolves In The Throne Room, in Porto-Rio, Portugal. They also toured as a guest band with Men Eater.

Nöite (2010)

About to launch their EP through the Portuguese label Major Label Industries – which discovered and produced Process of Guilt, The Firstborn and Thanatoschizo - Löbo are on a constant creative process."
